Our Approach
We are the oldest landscaping / hardscaping company in the North Alabama and have a Landscape Designer and licensed Horticulturist on staff. All employees are in uniform while on customer's property and remain in direct communication with managers to resolve any concerns or make changes while on the job. We have the latest machinery available to keep our operation efficient. We're able to mobilize crews and equipment as needed for completion of large multi-faceted residential properties, as well as individual enhancements. We take pride in our work and strive to ensure timely installation and project completion.
Harold Ledford started our landscaping business in 1973. He is retired NASA Engineer and active as a consultant and manages large residential projects. His 45+ years in field expertise is invaluable to our company but more importantly brings an expertise to our customers.
Our Story
Greg Ledford is the President and has been running the Company since 1994. He is certified by both Nightscaping and Hadco Outdoor Lighting companies in advanced lighting design and custom installation. Greg also has extensive training in custom water garden features. He is ICPI, CSRWI and PICP Certified to install concrete pavers, and to design and construct segmental retaining walls and interlocking paver patios.
In our many years of operation, we have maintained an A+ rating with the Huntsville Better Business Bureau. Ledford's Landscaping has been voted the #1 Best in Business Landscaping Company for Huntsville/Madison County since 2008. We offer an extensive list of references from residential clients. Ledford's Landscaping has been featured in "The Home Gallery" magazine several times. We have also provided the landscaping services for the Huntsville Historic Homes Tour. Greg Ledford attends several professional seminars each year to improve outdoor construction skills and to learn about the latest techniques and materials in our industry.
